Trafalgar’s Ginger Mead in another interpretation of our historically accurate Mead Braggot (Mead brewed with malt barley). It is made with premium Ontario grown 2 row barley malt, pure award-winning Ontario wildflower honey sourced less than an hour from the Brewery, and select raw ginger root. The health benefits of ginger have been known to the earliest herbalists, druids, apothecaries and is still used in modern medicine. A fit pairing for the worlds oldest alcoholic beverage. The honey and malt flavors are enhanced with the distinct taste of ginger root and balanced by a very light hopping process that results in a pale straw beverage with light carbonation. This mead is well suited to a more natural “Dark and stormy” cocktail (dark rum with Ginger Mead instead of a Ginger ale pop), or is best paired with lighter meals to compliment the light and sweet nature of the beverage.
